[Principle]
A shepherd’s staff comforts by leading, guiding and directing the flock. It helps contain the sheep so they do not get “off the path.” The rod and staff essentially are the shepherd’s primary tools to manage their sheep. It keeps the flock connected to each other and the shepherd which protects them despite the presence of “evil.”

Two significant events took place in my life in the last few days.
1. I started a business (SheepFeast). More on that at another time.
2. The last sheep left the farm I grew up on February 28.
For those of you who know my Dad, Dennis Rowan, you will understand the significance of that event.
I wrote this post to honor the legacy that he and my mother, Glenda, have built through the years.
Several unexpected tears have been shed today. Especially so when I read this post aloud to my family. Almost didn't make it through. 😭
