The Dennis & Glenda Rowan Scholarship is an initiative to support and resource Kingdom organizations in their effort to "Go forth and make disciples of all nations." Through your generous partnership SheepFeast is able to serve the underserved throughout the world and provide highly effective tools and materials to those who otherwise would not have access.
What's Included in the DGR Scholarship?
At SheepFeast we offer practical impact for Kingdom entrepreneurs in developing countries. We call our scholarship recipients Abrahams—a reference to the Father of Many Nations. We are here to promote God's purposes throughout the world with our discipleship platform, business tools and supportive community.
A Legacy of Servant Leadership
In 1985, Dennis and Glenda Rowan founded Psalm 23 Camp to provide a Christian Camp experience that emphasized stewardship of God's land. What started out as a simple three day camp once a summer eventually led to eight full weeks of servant-leadership oriented camps. For more than 30 years, churches and youth groups from across the United States came to the Rowan sheep farm to attend the Servants At Work (S.A.W.) Camps and assist families that were in need through various service projects.
SheepFeast Founder, Mark Rowan, grew up attending and working with the campers from 8 years old through his college graduation. In fact, the very first camp Mark accepted Jesus as his Savior on the side of Peter's Mountain as local Pastor Stewart Farley shared the Gospel message.
Growing up on a working sheep farm and Christian camp impacted Mark significantly and he credits this experience as a seminal part of the formation and inspiration of SheepFeast.
Go And Make Disciples of All Nations
Jesus words in Matthew 28 are the heart of SheepFeast. We are partnering with God to see the nations come into the fullness of their original design. When you support the DGR Scholarship you are equipping the body of Christ in nations that typically would not have the same resources.
Thanks to our partnership with non-profit GOTI, Inc. those that give to the SheepFeast DGR Scholarship get the benefit of tax deduction.
